    ABOUT OUR CLUB

    Club membership is open to all Villages residents who identify as LGBT or friends of the LGBT community. Our purpose is to provide for LGBT communication and social events as well as create visibility, acceptance, and understanding through community participation and charitable events. We welcome your suggestions and input.

    WEBSITE PURPOSE

    Our website is designed for communication directed to the LGBT community of the tri-county area of Marion, Lake, and Sumter Counties. Events, information, resources of local interest are featured here.

    ACTIVITIES & EVENTS

    Family activities and events are open to all members of our club. A valid Villages ID is needed for designated Club Events only. All other events are held by our members, and are considered "family," or "private" events that are held in members' homes, rented facilities in the Villages, or locations outside the Villages where residence is not required. Contact the sponsor directly for more information on those events.

    BUSINESSES & SERVICES ADVERTISEMENTS

    Post your business card on our website for only $25 per year. Contact our business card manager for more information.

    CHARITY SUPPORT

    Our club supports a number of charities through the "Power of Love" campaign. If you would like to have our club support your charity, contact us. Please plan in advance for timely posting and support.

    CLUB MEETINGS

    Meetings are held the 3rd Thursday of the month at Bacall Recreation Center from 3:00 until 4:30 pm. Since meetings are not held every month, check for meeting announcements on this website. Meeting minutes and treasurer's reports are available on request.

    COMMUNITY EVENTS

    We will regularly post events of interest to our community from various organizations in and around The Villages; however, we ask that the President or designated official from that organization make contact with us.


    DISCRIMINATION POLICIES

    "It is the policy of the Village Community Development Districts that no group holding Resident Lifestyle membership in or enjoying privileges of the Resident Lifestyle Groups shall discriminate against any person on the basis of age, race, nationality, handicap, physical disability, color, creed, religious preference, gender or sexual orientation."

    EMAIL FREQUENCY

    We limit our email communications to once monthly with few exceptions. We encourage you to bookmark and refer to our website regularly.

    EMAIL USE

    We respect your privacy. We do not publish, sell, or otherwise distribute your private information. No membership lists are kept.

    EVENT TICKETS

    Please do not use the contact us link to request event tickets. Read the ads carefully and contact the person/s mentioned in the ad directly via post, phone, or e-mail. Holiday event tickets sell out quickly; avoid disappointment and order your tickets early.

    We sincerely welcome your feedback. Please use the contact us link to send your comments, questions, and concerns. We will reply to all feedback submitted.
    PHOTOS & VIDEOS
    The Rainbow Club will frequently post photographs and/or videos on the Rainbow Family and Friends website. The Rainbow Club will not post or authorize posting of photographs or videos on YOUTUBE, FaceBook, or any other social media.

    SPORTS EVENTS

    Sports events held at Villages sports facilities are open to members and guests with a Villages ID. Sports events held outside The Villages or in public venues are open to all.

    WEBSITE SUBMISSIONS

    We reserve the right to refuse or edit any requests made for website publication.
